Salary: Pay Scale 4 - €50,213 – €56,135 DOE
Pension: Employer Contributory pension available on completion of probation
Hours: 37 hours per week
Leave: 22 days annual leave
Location: Oaklee Housing Head Office, 132 James Street, Dublin 8. Hybrid Working Model.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Work closely withthe Financial Controller on the following tasks:
Creation of Accounting Journals for Import/Posting into Open Accounts
Production of monthly management accounts and Board reporting packs
Maintenance of cash flow forecasts
External & Internal Audits
Reports for external Stakeholders
You will have responsibility overthe Asset Accounting function. Tasks will include the following:
Posting journals for depreciation, disposals aborted costs, Capital Grant Amortisationand other costs in relation to the housing assets.
Maintain & adhere to Fixed Assets Policy document
Ensuring Additions, Component Replacements & Adaptations are recorded correctly
Postings for Other Fixed assetse.g furniture, equipment, computers, software, mobile phones & vehicles
Importing Assets details into RAM software
Periodic Capitalised Interest Reviews
Periodic Impairment Reviews
Periodic Repair and maintenance costs review to account for any transactions to be capitalized
Reconciling contracts to RCT Payable / Paid
Preparation of the annual Depreciation and Amortisation budgets
You will have responsibility over tax compliance management.
It will be important to gain an understanding of the Key rules around VAT and RCT
You will be responsible for ensuring the periodic returns are accurate and filed on time
Key Requirements:
Strong accounting skills are essential
Minimum Intermediate Excel – Adept with Pivots/Charts/Lookups/Data manipulation
Newly Qualified or Part Qualified at final stages with one of the recognised Accounting Bodies
Desired:
Previous experience processing sub contractor’s VAT (RCT) an advantage
Experience of New Software Implementation
Previous experience with Open Accounts
Previous experience with Glantus
Previous experience in an Approved Housing Body or a Charity
