Cherrywood (Domville): Oaklee confirms that full funding for the Domville development is fully secured and that the delay in progressing the acquisition to completion is due to outstanding and required, legal building documentation, from the developer, Neville & Sons.
Domville is a residential development in Dublin 18 that includes 30 apartments which Oaklee has agreed to purchase and tenant with the support of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Housing Finance Agency.
Finance is secure and in place
Contrary to RTE’s reporting, Oaklee has secured all necessary funds for the purchase of these homes since November 2023 and remains ready to complete the acquisition once the outstanding documentation referenced above is received from Neville & Sons.
Why the acquisition of these homes has not occurred
While construction of these new homes may be complete, the acquisition cannot proceed until the required and standard, legal building documentation is received. These documents confirm that the apartments meet regulatory standards, and they have not yet been provided, meaning the acquisition cannot complete.
Resident safety is Oaklee’s highest priority. We will not proceed to closing or allow residents to occupy any home until all required documentation from Neville & Sons is fully in place. Our funders and regulators rightly require this documentation before approving any handover, and Oaklee will not compromise on these essential standards.
Our delivery record speaks for itself
Oaklee delivers homes at scale with trusted partners across Ireland, and our delivery record speaks for itself. Between 2024 and 2025, we successfully delivered 534 new homes, reflecting the strength of our partnerships and our commitment to meeting housing need. Looking ahead, we enter 2026 with a strong, fully funded and contracted pipeline, including at least 461 homes scheduled for delivery, a programme we are fully confident in delivering.
Delivering the 30 homes at Domville Cherrywood
Oaklee is ready to proceed with the acquisition of the 30 homes at Cherrywood and eagerly await the outstanding documentation to be supplied by the developer.
